in santa rosa. napa also reporting fog this morning. 40-degrees in walnut creek. temperatures up by a few degrees. around the bay area starting off similar to how we woke up yesterday morning. 41 palo alto. 45 outside your door in belmont. and again that little bit of patchy fog there. the on shore breeze will make its way back later this afternoon into the early evening hours. for the time being we continue with this northerly flow. you can see a close up view of the satellite and radar. the high clouds that continue to sweep across the area. this will be the case for today. the ridge of high pressure still in control of our weather pattern. it will shift right over the west coast and we'll remain here for today. as i back this up a little bit farther this system here will be what will plow into the ridge. this system will ride over it. it's not going to bring us any rain but it will cool us down. it will strengthen our on shore breeze. and tuesday night into wednesday perhaps a little bit of rain. so today 70-degrees expected for santa rosa. 67 for berkeley. low 60s in san francisco. up

home in santa rosa safe and sound. >>> happening now, cars are back on the track at marysville raceway north of sacramento a week after a crash that killed a north bay teenager. before the race started there was a moment of silence for two teens. a driver lost control and crashed into the pit area. some say this is what the fans and the drivers want. >>> a deadly head-on crash shut down lanes in highway 84 for several hours. the highway patrol says a pickup collided with a car at 1915 killing one person. -- 9:15 killing one person. the coroner identified the victim as 46-year-old todd sure of hay ward. the highway fully reopened at about 2:20 this afternoon. >>> san jose police are investigating this accident between a scooter and that santa clara county sheriff's patrol car. it happened at 12:30 this morning at west heading street in the alameda. investigators are trying to determine if one of the drivers ran a red light. two people on the scooter were hurt but their injuries are not serious. the deputy was not hurt. >>> the manhunt continues for that san jose man suspected of killing

't given the get in the way and don't get in trouble. one day i heard about rosa parks when i was 15 years old in the tenth grade. i heard about martin luther king jr. and i met rosa parks in 1957 when i was 17. i met dr. king for next year in 1958 at the age of 18. my folks kept saying to me don't get in trouble, don't get in the way that rosa mart parks and martin luther king jr. inspired me to find a way to get in the way. i was so inspired that in 1956 at the age of 16 with some of my brothers and sisters and cousins we went down to the public library in the town of true alabama trying to get a library card, trying to check out some books. we went to the library that was for whites only and not for. i never went back to that library until july 5, 19 -- and the book walking with the wind. [applause] and hundreds of lack and white citizens came. we had a wonderful program, food something to drink. at the end of the program they gave me a library card. it says something about the common purpose. some of you in my little book walk with the wind i just try to tell the story. i was deeply in

girl is now safe at a relatives house in santa rosa tonight. jenica fredrick disappeared thursday morning from her home in cobb. she was reportedly upset about something before she went missing. many rescue crews -- including some from the bay area -- assisted in the search. which continued into today when fredrick's parents got a call from a relative saying that she was at their house safe and sound. areas of downtown martinez and the waterfront park were vandalized. it happened between thursday evening and early friday morning. officials say the people responsible used spray paint.mostly marking the words "asher" and y-b. most of the damage is at around the skateboard park and is estimated at 8,000-10,000 dollars as a result of the vandalism, there is the potential closure of the skate park. >> temperatures in the fifties. spectacular visibility sunshine tomorrow and the east bay valleys will see mid 70's. changes however, with cooler temperatures some clouds over california. this part of a weather system and remember you can watch the weather forecast whenever it is convenient
